ThimS is a developing project-based queer modern dance company in the DMV area currently split between Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD. It was conceived in 2025 by a collection of queer movement artists as both an extension of their identities and an igniter for queer story-forming-and-telling and conversation. Rooted in intimate and contact-based movement, ThimS strives to look at the human experience from the past, the present, and the future. The company reflects on and revisits childhood experiences; examines one’s current behaviors and tendencies; and interrogates future realities.
